One or the other reader has probably already seen it – after all, the spot has received 18 million views: The JD Sport Christmas campaign “JD King of the Streets” has set itself the goal of focusing on British talent.
The company brought together a number of stars from the world of sports, music and television who were filmed on the streets of Greater Manchester.

The short version of the spot: The spot shows a young man (portrayed by the actor Cole Wealleans-Watts) strolling through a fictional shopping street on a cold, quiet winter night. At first glance it looks like an ordinary shopping street, but on closer inspection it becomes apparent that every store has been redesigned with a touch of JD design. For example, we see Maya Jama and Michael Dapaah who run a dog grooming salon (“Jbut & Dapaah ”), where you can get your four-legged friends in top shape for the Christmas days.

JD Sports: Inspirations around the Christmas collection

Look at you best the spot itself. The two minutes are worth it – every outfit shown from the “JD King of the Streets” Christmas campaign can be bought later – here goes to Michael Dapaah’s outfit, for example. Boxer Anthony Joshua is similarly sporty – with training pants and a training shirt. Or you can create your own look to shine under the Christmas tree.

But a visit to a JD Sports store is also worthwhile – either for gifts or to be inspired. In England, where JD Sports opened its first store in 1982, the company has held a special place in the country’s shopping streets. The shops are hotspots where young people come together to get new inspiration for their love of streetwear.
In Germany, too, the heavyweights of the industry, i.e. brands such as Nike, adidas, Fred Perry and The North Face with strong own brands such as Pink Soda and Supply & Demand, are in hand at JD Sports – everything neatly curated so that you can the needles in the haystack neither in the store nor in the Onlineshop have to look for a long time.
