JCI fell 0.46% on Friday (28/8), foreign net sell surpassed IDR 1 trillion

KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) fell after strengthening for four consecutive trading days. On Friday (28/8), IHSG weakened 24.81 or 0.46% to 5,346.66 at the end of trading on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Within a week, the JCI was recorded to gain 1.40%.

Five sectors fell along with the JCI in the last trading week. The infrastructure sector and consumer goods fell by 0.84% ​​each. Financial sector weakened 0.71%. The mining sector eroded 0.46%. The manufacturing sector corrected 0.37%.

Five sectors still recorded gains today. The plantation sector strengthened 0.60%. The construction sector strengthened 0.45%. Basic industrial sector rose 0.22%. Miscellaneous industry sector rose 0.16% and the trade sector rose 0.04%.

The total volume of stock exchange transactions reached 14.27 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp. 8.07 trillion. A total of 238 shares fell in price. There were 189 stocks that advanced on the day and 173 stocks flat.

  • PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA) -2,71%

  • PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA) 3.83%
  • PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) 3.14%

Foreign investors recorded a net sell of IDR 1.13 trillion in all markets. The stocks with the largest foreign net sales are PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) IDR 305.6 billion, PT MNC Studios International Tbk (MSIN) IDR 136.1 billion, and PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI) IDR 131.1 billion.

Meanwhile, the stocks with the largest foreign net purchases were PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) IDR 36.5 billion, PT United Tractors Tbk (Untrim) Rp. 6.6 billion, and PT Indonesia Transport & Infrastructure Tbk (THERE IT IS) Rp. 3.7 billion.
