Javier studied Fine Arts at the University of Granada and then moved to Malaga, the city where he lives and works. Although he has exhibited in galleries all over the world.

The sculpture is called ‘Without title’, and it’s a limited edition because only six pieces were made. The artist’s unique style is evident in the bodywork, but also in the famous figure that stands on the hood of each car, called The goddess of ecstasy or The spirit of ecstasy in Spanish.

Calleja has reinvented it “No wings to fly” and it is a small metal sculpture in which a character with his characteristic big eyes emulates the posture of ‘The Spirit of Ecstasy’.
