Former striker Jaroslav Bednář is leaving the post of sports manager of the first league Slavia after two years. The club informed about it through the official website.
“HC Slavia Prague thanks Jard for the work he has done for the club and wishes him good luck in his personal and professional life,” said the representatives of the Vršovice team in a brief statement.
The end of the cooperation occurred by mutual agreement. As a possible explanation, the failed entry of Prague into the new year is offered: Slavia won only one of the seven duels and is crouching in the twelfth place of the table.

And while coach Daniel Tvrzník (at the moment) remains in his position, the forty-six-year-old Bednář is leaving the position of sports manager. The club pupil held it since October 2021.
The first year after his arrival, the team eliminated the later finalist Vsetín in the quarterfinals of the playoffs. Last season, Slavia just slipped into the preliminary round of the elimination fights, in which they were not enough against Jihlava.
