January-March, Health Office Recorded Dozens of DHF Cases in Pasuruan City

Pasuruan (WartaBromo.com) – Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) has started stalking the residents of Pasuruan City. In the last three months, dozens of residents have contracted dengue.

Information obtained Bromo News, In a Pesona Candi housing complex in Sekargadung Village, Purworejo District, there are 7 residents who have been infected with dengue.

“Not 7, I just checked. There are 3 residents. All of them are being treated in hospitals,” said the Head of the Pasuruan City Health Office, Shierly Marlena.

Shierly also revealed the number of dengue cases that occurred in Pasuruan City, in January the Health Office recorded 7 cases; February there were 17 cases; March there were 6 cases.

According to Shierly, the trend of increasing dengue cases this year has not changed much from last year. Almost the same. However, weather conditions also affect the distribution of dengue fever.

Some of the efforts made by the health office to suppress the spread of dengue fever were distributing abate to all urban villages and fogging to areas deemed necessary to fogging.

“In the temple charm housing maybe tomorrow. But if fogging is only effective for killing adult mosquitoes. The most effective is cleaning mosquito nests, sowing abate,” added Shierly.

In the last two years, from 2020 to 2021, cases of dengue fever in Pasuruan City have increased. In 2020 there were 90 cases, then in 2021 there were 105 cases. (tof/asd)
