Janik Haberer has been with SC Freiburg for six years now. But there will probably not be a seventh in the summer, the 27-year-old will not extend his expiring contract in Breisgau.
He reports that kicker, who spoke to Freiburg sports director Jochen Saier about Haberer’s future. Saier said: “We are currently assuming that Janik will be looking for a new challenge.”
Sounds like a free transfer soon. Where the journey should go is still open. Haberer had often come off the bench at the sports club lately. He has only made four starting XI appearances this season.
The former U21 international now wants to look for a new perspective at another club. Haberer played a total of 161 games for SC Freiburg, scoring 13 goals and providing 16 assists.
