Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan extended the Large-Scale Social Limitation (PSBB) transition for the next 14 days.
On the same occasion, Anies revealed there were no plans to open a school in DKI.
“There are no plans to open a school, we are still monitoring. Because one of the big risks of exposure is children,” Anies said at City Hall, Wednesday (1/7/2020).
Anies said the risk of children exposed to Covid-19 in Jakarta was quite high. For this reason, even though the new school year is about to begin, face-to-face meetings will not be held.
“Schools will not be opened even though the school year starts on July 13, 2020. The start is still in online learning,” he said.
This transition PSBB was extended from 2 July 2020 tomorrow to 16 July 2020.
