Jakarta changed governor, JIRTA roof in Sunter still leaking

Jakarta

Since the beginning of the year, this problem has not been resolved. Roof of the Jakarta International Roller Track Arena (EXISTS) still loses and disturbs roller skaters who train for results.

“There are still several points where if it rains it still leaks,” DKI Jakarta Roller Skate Team head coach Faisal Norman told detikcom on Saturday (11/19/2022).

Since February, detikcom has been reporting this issue in hopes that this issue can be resolved quickly. The governorship of Jakarta at that time was still held by Anies Baswedan. Now that Anies has retired, Jakarta is led by acting governor Heru Budi Hartono. Even the problem of leaks from the roof of the sports hall has not been solved.

Faisal Normal no longer saw any continuation of the roof repair process that was often performed by officials. “He’s gone,” Faisal said.

Contacted separately by detikcom, Fikri Hidayat, head of infrastructure section for DKI Jakarta’s youth and sports service, explained that the repairs would be carried out if there were still problems.

“If the past has been completed, if there is still a flaw, fix it again,” said Fikri Hidayat.

The current obstacle is the seasonal factor. As is known, Jakarta rains more and more often.

“The weather keeps raining, it’s hard to patch if the roof surface is wet,” he said.
