The specially developed metallic body color looks black until the sunlight shines on it and reveals an amethyst undertone – never seen before on a Jaguar car. The “Edition 1988” is also unique with a sunset colored “Jaguar” badge and brand name on the tailgate. There is a laser-engraved plate with the “Edition 1988” logo on the front fenders.

In addition to the F-Pace SVR Black package components that are already standard on the Edition 1988, a gloss black finish is also available for the door mirror housings, brake calipers, wheel center caps and the “R” in the “SVR” badge.

Further accentuating the F-Pace SVR’s luxurious interior featuring textured carbon trim panels, the Edition 1988 features semi-aniline black leather trim and exclusive sunset tone accents on the dash, steering wheel, gear shift knobs, heated and ventilated for sporty style seats. The ‘Jaguar’ badge on the horn button and surround are in satin black, while ‘SV Bespoke’ and ‘Edition 1988’ badges on the illuminated door sill plates and front fascia round off the branding ensemble.

The F-Pace SVR is Jaguar’s pinnacle of performance in the SUV class. It has a 550-horsepower five-liter gasoline V8 engine with a compressor, available only in “Jaguar” models, which allows you to reach 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds and drive at 286 km/h.

The luxurious interior with an opening panoramic glass roof, a projection (head-up) display and the latest communication technologies show that the “F-Pace SVR Edition 1988” is designed not only for driving on the race track, but also for comfortable everyday use.

The F-Pace range also includes S, SE, HSE, R-Dynamic Black, 300 Sport, 400 Sport and SVR models, and the F-Pace has petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid powertrains are available (depending on the market), but the SVR Edition 1988 is the sweetest chord in the range.

The Special Vehicle Operations department is a specialist team of designers, engineers and technicians working to improve the performance and luxury attributes of SVR vehicles. The “SV Bespoke” team, on the other hand, fulfills special, unique orders, manufactures limited series cars, as well as creates exclusive “SV Bespoke” color palettes and paints the bodywork in an individually ordered tone.

The 1988 Le Mans-winning Jaguar XJR-9 LM was driven by Andy Wallis, Johnny Dumfries and Jan Lammers, who completed 394 racing laps in 24 hours, or a total of 5,332.6 km (3,313.5 miles). This car is currently in the Jaguar Heritage Trust collection.
