Lord Jacob Rothschild died at the age of 87, his family announced, reports BGNES. He was a prominent member of the Rothschild banking empire.
“Our father Jacob was a remarkable presence in the lives of many people, a highly successful financier, an advocate of art and culture,” the family said in a statement.
He left to co-found the J. Rothschild Assurance Group, now St James’s Place, which became one of Europe’s largest fund and wealth managers, controlling assets worth over £155bn.
His wife Serena died in 2019. The family has four children – Hannah, Beth, Emily and Nat.
