Metal Slug Code: J is the new chapter in the SNK time series coming up mobile platforms in 2020, within the relaunch of the brand that had already been announced by the company long ago and materialized at this point with a first presentation trailer of the game.
In addition to this there should also be a new episode coming out on consoles in 2020, which should however emerge from a different project. Metal Slug Code: J is still a tentative title but apparently the development is already well underway, entrusted to TiMi Studios and published by Tencent.
As it was quite logical to expect, but the thing can only displease the fans of the classic chapters, this new title adopts a 3D graphics that tries to resume the canonical style of the series, with a lot of type setting 2.5D which gives a sense of depth with the use of three-dimensional, while maintaining the action on a classic two-dimensional structure.
The result is quite pleasant, also thinking about the context in which the game will be released, but we are quite far from the charm of the original SNK. In any case, if nothing else, the spirit seems to have remained intact as regards the gameplay and even the animations try to best replicate the graphic wonders of the Neo Geo and there is also a remarkable interaction with the elements of the scenario.
We look forward to knowing the release date of Metal Slug Code: J, in addition to any news on an arrival even on consoles in some form.
