Ivo Fomins kicks off his anniversary concert tour in Cēsis with a stellar performance!

The concert was attended by special guests – Guntars Račs and the ensemble of the Cēsu Music High School. There were songs from the very early years of the singer’s career, as well as from the days of the duo “Fomins and Kleins” and the group “Black Panther”; both the best songs from all albums, and, of course, also the listeners’ favorite compositions: “Birds without wings”, “Nekas ja nebaisas”, “The day it stops raining” and others. On the other hand, the March 24 concert, which will take place at At 19.00 and 21.30, the special guest will be the musician Thomas Klein.

It should be noted that last week the publishing house “MicRec” launched a new book of 60 song lyrics, as well as a new selection of Ivo Fomin’s best songs, which includes twenty compositions.

Ivo Fomins started his musical career in the 80s, when he formed the group “Saldās sejas” together with Tomas Klein, Siegfried Muktupāvela and Guntar Račas as a teenager, and at the age of 18 Fomins joined the group “Neptunes”.

In 1987, Ivo and his brother Rodrigo (Igo) got involved in the project “Liepāja brothers”, two years later they won the third place in the Young Singers Competition “Jūrmala”. In 1990 and 1994, Fomins was recognized as the best vocalist at the “Liepājas Dzintars” rock festival. In the first half of the nineties, the musician played in the rock groups “Libau” and “The Cucumbers”, but in 1998 he became the lead soloist of the “Black Princess” band of Félix ħiģelis.

In 2002, Ivo created the duo “Fomins & Kleins” together with the guitarist of the rock band “Līvi” Tomas Klein. In the Latvian national selection of the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest, they took 2nd place with the song “Musician”, while in 2004, they won the Latvian selection with “Dziesmu par laimi” and participated in the big Eurovision Song Contest.

April 15 at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in Riga, VEF Palace of Culture

On April 22 at 19.00 in the Valmiera Culture Center

April 28 at 19.00 in Jēkabpils, Krustpils Culture House

April 29 at 7:00 p.m. in the Tukuma Culture Center

April 30 at 18.00 at Madonna’s House of Culture
