It’s time to win, says returning midfielder Zlína Hrubý. Vrba reached out to the expelled Kozák for money

Ševci, who were rescuing themselves without him, drew 1:1 with Baník from Ostrava and 2:2 in Jablonec, where they already had a 2:0 lead under new coach Vrba. In the table of the highest competition, they still figure in the penultimate fifteenth place.

“I watched the match in Jablonec on TV at home and I was much more nervous than if I was on the field. I ran around the room during it. While we were a bit lucky with Baník, in Jablonec we lost two points due to the course of the match. But before the game, we would probably take the plyt,” Hrubý muses.

He is happy that this weekend he will be a direct actor in the rescue battle at Letná in Zlín. “I messed up in the cup with Vyškov. However, the end of autumn was extremely challenging for us from a psychological point of view. We won only twice in the whole six months, which is very little. Hopefully we learned from it. It must not happen again,” he vowed. His team won their last league victory over Liberec in mid-October.

Now, according to Hrubý, the atmosphere in the Zlín team is diametrically different. “We are all giving our absolute best in training now. It’s a ride. And it looks like we carry it over to the matches as well. Teplice are also at the back of the table, so we definitely shouldn’t lose points with them. It’s finally time to win again. In the cabin, I feel that my teammates are also set up like this. I wish we could start a winning streak with a triumph over North Bohemia,” he wishes.

At the beginning of spring, Teplice lost 0:2 in Prague to Bohemians and then even suffered a five-goal debacle at home with Baník. “He can kick them up or knock them down even more. We will do everything to ensure that Teplice doesn’t rise up here. On the contrary, we want to drive them even deeper into the ground,” smiles the 28-year-old Hrubý.

Zlín coach Pavel Vrba indicated that he is counting on him in the starting line-up. “He looked very good in the preparatory duels and in the training sessions. He is a player who could bring even more quality to our offense. We will be stronger with Robert,” he is convinced.

In the match against Teplice, on the other hand, he will be without striker Libor Kozák. The former representative saw two yellows and a red card in Jablonec. Vrba discussed the exclusion with him. “I gave Libor the first yellow card for unsportsmanlike conduct. She was completely useless. His huge mistake. He received a financial penalty,” revealed Vrba.

In the match with Teplice, he will also miss the sick defender Kolář. “We want to move up in the table from the penultimate place, so we definitely have to win the match. Teplice did not start until the spring, so I believe that they will last a while without points,” the former national team coach does not hide his thoughts on a three-point gain.
