The parents of a talented athlete lived in Austria, after whom he subsequently moved. He then joined a sports grammar school, which cooperates with the Austrian Association, and he began to claim it.
Everything will be easier for him. He’s on the glacier in half an hour after school. He could only dream of that in the Czech Republic. Švancer was to race for Austria this season, and finally stayed in his home country for another year.
The union tried to keep him, he negotiated a very lucrative contract in Dukla, but it still failed.
However, one disadvantage for him will be the move. Švancer already had a certain place at the Olympic Games in Beijing. But it was for the Czech Republic. He will have to fight for Austria from scratch.
Even so, it is clear that the 16-year-old junior world champion in big air and slopestyle will not add another medal in Czech colors.
