Itama Ranoraya (IRRA) won a contract for the procurement of 600,000 antigen test swabs

KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. PT Itama Ranoraya Tbk (IRRA) issuers engaged in high-tech medical equipment and supplies (HiTech Healthcare Solutions) has received an order for the procurement of Covid Swab Antigen Test Products from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB).

The order consists of two phases, with details of 200,000 units of phase I and 400,000 units of II, so that a total of 600,000 units of Covid Swab Antigen Test products.

President Director Itama Ranoraya, Heru Firdausi Syarif, revealed that the first order of 200,000 units was obtained by the company last October and last week received another order of 400,000 thousand units for the procurement of Covid Swab Antigen Test Products.

“Until now, we have completed 600,000 Panbio units for BNPB, October for delivery of the first order and December, last Sunday for the second order,” Heru said in an official statement, Monday (14/12).

Abbott’s IRRA Covid Swab Antigen Test product under the name Panbio has received approval from WHO (World Health Organization). This antigen test is an in vitro rapid diagnostic test for the qualitative detection of the SARS-CoV-2 (Ag) antigen in human nasopharyngeal swab specimens from individuals who meet the clinical and / or epidemiological criteria of COVID-19. The accuracy is better than the Rapid Test.

IRRA Marketing and Sales Director Hendry Herman revealed that Abbot’s Covid Swab Antigen Test product has only started to be marketed in the fourth quarter of 2020.

IRRA sees the demand for this product not only from the government but also from the private sector, such as the implementation of self-help tests conducted by companies for their employees and the community independently.

The Swab Antigen Test product, which has received a recommendation from WHO, has a sensitivity level of 98.2% and a specificity of 99.4% (specifically for the COVID-19 virus) with a test time and results of 15-20 minutes.

“We are optimistic that the Covid Swab Antigen Test product will become convenience goods during this pandemic, in addition to its ease of use and affordable prices. This product is recommended by WHO as a test tool for Covid-19, “said Hendry.

In the future, IRRA will explore increasing the cooperation relationship with Abbot for the Panbio Covid Swab Antigen Test Product. Likewise for the Panbio Antigen Swab plan to be produced domestically, through PT Oneject Indonesia (Oneject) which is sister company the company together with international healthcare company partners.

The sales realization of the company’s Covid Swab Antigen Test products complements Itama Ranoraya’s achievements this year.

Previously in the fourth quarter of 2020, to be precise in early November, IRRA received a contract to supply 45 units of Convalescent plasma machines to the Covid-19 Referral Hospital from the Ministry of Health.

At the end of November IRRA received a contract to procure 111 million pieces of ADS syringes for the Covid-19 program, also from the Ministry of Health. With this achievement, the Company is optimistic that this year’s target will be exceeded. In fact, the company is sure that the performance of net profit can grow above 30%.
