Italy is introducing unprecedented measures

Italy is introducing unprecedented measures to help citizens and businesses, amounting to 4.4 billion euros, and at the same time there are aid from each region.

The measures provide for:
– reduction of the excise duty on fuels – the measure will be in force until the end of April;

– petrol vouchers – helping workers who use their own funds to get to work. Vouchers are up to 200 euros, granted by employers and will not be taxed;

– social bonus – an instrument that froze electricity and gas prices for over 5 million households by the end of the year. Additional aid is granted in individual regions;

– installment bills – businesses will be able to pay their electricity and gas bills in installments – the maximum number is 24 monthly installments;

– 10% tax on additional profits of energy companies – will be applied only for 2022, will be paid in June by the entire energy sector: by companies that produce, import and sell petroleum products, gas or electricity;

– Aid for the reception of refugees from Ukraine – more than 400 million euros are provided

– reduction of taxes for some sectors – the measure is for the sectors of tourism, agriculture, fishing.
