Nails on the road
The incidents occurred near Ofanto, between Bari and Foggia, in the Apulia region (south).
According to local newspaper Quotidiano di Puglia, mini-buses of supporters from Lecce, on their way to Rome where their team has to face AS Rome at 6pm, were attacked by supporters of the rival club in Bari.

They, more than a hundred according to the same daily, would have nailed the road, forcing the mini-buses to stop before attacking them.
“Several injured”
The Quotidiano di Puglia evokes “several wounded”, without further precision, and photos show that at least one mini-bus burned.
In a statement, the Bari club expressed its “strongest conviction”.
“These are incidents that have nothing to do with the values that the white and red club and the city of Bari have always supported and promoted,” wrote the Serie B club, the Lecce club and its typhoons of its “solidarity”.
