Italian wins millions of paintings by Picasso

A painting by Picasso was won in the draw for the international campaign “1 Picasso for 100 euros” in favor of projects by the aid organization Care in Africa.

The picture of the Spanish painter Pablo Picasso from 1921, estimated at one million euros, was previously owned by the art collector David Nahmad. One million euros should go to the collector, the rest of the lottery proceeds went to aid projects in Africa. The painting by the Spanish painter depicts a geometric composition depicting a newspaper and an absinthe glass. According to the AFP news agency, the lottery brought in 5.1 million euros.
