It is noted that trains will be able to move along the routes autonomously, without using either diesel or electricity. These trains reduce carbon emissions and fuel consumption by 50% compared to standard models. In addition, the body and the “stuffing” of such a train are 93% made from recyclable materials.
The trains are designed for a top speed of 160 km/h and a battery range of 15 km. Therefore, at the first stages of work, they will switch to the battery only when approaching cities and driving in them.
However, by 2030, they are going to improve the batteries and thereby increase the range to 100 km. The new trains will primarily be used on regional routes.
In order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Germany, the first hydrogen railway line has already opened.
As Cursor reported, in June, the City Transport Routes Company for the first time checked the operation of the entire light rail fleet on the Red Line route in Gush Dan, which should have been launched for citizens a long time ago, but the date is constantly being postponed due to various difficulties. The Israelis were told why the metro tram on the line still does not run.
Representatives of companies associated with the project say the train runs went smoothly, everything is working fine, but NETA is still waiting for the approval of the two German inspection firms that have been selected to inspect the line before issuing an operating permit. One of the officials said that before the launch of the line, it is necessary to study a lot of documents related to trains, and this procedure takes time.
The cursor wrote earlier that the exact date of the start of the red line of the metro tram in Gush Dan has not yet been determined – most likely it will be in early June. However, it is already known that passengers will not be able to pay for travel inside the car, but only at stations.
