It will be tropical warm: even a chance of a super heat wave | Inland

According to Weeronline, we still have to take into account a mix of light clouds, a local shower and a sometimes quite strong north wind at the sea on Monday. With 22 degrees in the north to 26 degrees in the south, the temperature will be pleasant.

From Tuesday the temperature will rise considerably and it will be sunny in many places with a temperature of 25 degrees on the Wadden to 29 degrees in the south of the country. The heat wave is in the country.

Continuously sunny

The sun will shine continuously on Wednesday, Weeronline reports. Although there will be some veil clouds here and there, the wind will be moderate. The temperature continues to rise: where it will be 26 to 28 degrees on the Wadden, it can warm up to 32 degrees in the southeast of the country.

From Thursday it will be tropical in many places: the wind changes and therefore very warm air will be supplied. If the sun shines fully, it will be tropical warm in many places with 30 degrees – or more. Only along the west coast and the Wadden Islands will it probably remain just below 30 degrees and the mercury stagnates at a temperature of 27 to 29 degrees. Inland it will be 32-33 degrees in the warmest places.

Tropical

It will also remain sunny and tropical in the following days: Friday and the weekend the sun will shine brightly and it will remain dry. The wind will be moderate, from the east, and it will be 30 to 34 degrees. Those looking to cool down are advised to go to the Wadden Islands: there it is a maximum of 26 to 28 degrees.

Super hit golf

The Belgians even foresee a super heat wave in their country. “Some weather models even predict a so-called super heat wave locally. That is a hot period of five days with more than 30 degrees, three days of which are warmer than 35 degrees.”

Belgian weather forecaster Frank Deboosere told Nieuwsblad: “It will remain somewhat mild on Monday. Enjoy it, because it will be a long time before we dip below 25 degrees again.”

“There is also a chance of a so-called super heat wave in the Netherlands, says Weeronline meteorologist Rico Schröder in conversation with De Telegraaf. “Then it must indeed be 35 degrees three days in a row. While you won’t notice the difference, it doesn’t count as a ‘super heat wave’ when the mercury freezes at 34.9 degrees.”

Schröder does have a few tips for the expected heat: in the night from Sunday to Monday it was still 10 to 11 degrees. The next night, from Monday to Tuesday, the temperatures will remain low and it will be 11 to 14 degrees. Also keep the window open for a while to let the cold air into the house, now you can.”

Because after Tuesday it will also be considerably warmer at night: “Then keep windows and doors closed – especially during the day to keep out the heat.” And further? “Just take it easy.”

‘Regional heat wave has already started’

Although the temperature in the Bilt remained at 23.1 degrees on Sunday, it was warmer than 25 degrees further south. According to Schröder, this is already a regional heat wave: “It will also be warmer than 25 degrees there on Monday, just like the rest of the week. So the heat wave has already started there.”
