The totally different reality in which we live today. “The curve is rising more slowly and we have defense lines that we didn’t have in March,” says virologist Steven Van Gucht. But the system is creaking, the dikes are about to break. Although there is hope: “If we all reduce our close contacts by one fifth, we can flatten the curve completely.”
