It is getting busier again in the nursing homes

More people died than usual during the corona crisis. Between the beginning of March and mid-July, 5,502 more people entitled to long-term care died than usual. It is not known how many of them have died from the corona virus. At the same time, many people who were entitled to a place in a nursing home decided not to do so for the time being, partly because of the ban on visiting. They chose to continue to live independently for the time being.

Because these people decided to delay their move to the nursing home, the waiting lists grew. Now they dare to move and as a result the waiting lists are decreasing somewhat.
