It is difficult for customers to withdraw funds, explains Bank Bukopin

KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. PT Bank Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) opened a voice over the rampant news about the difficulties of customers withdrawing funds from Bukopin’s account. And there are policies to limit withdrawal of funds in several branches of the company.

Bank Bukopin Corporate Secretary Meliawati said, Bank Bukopin had resolved the customer’s problem in terms of disbursement of funds and the customer could receive an explanation of the condition. “Limitation of withdrawal of funds in several branches is carried out in situational conditions, so that the company can meet customer transaction needs,” he said in a disclosure of information to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Thursday (6/25).

According to Bnakopuki, the policy is indeed an adjustment that needs to be done and bank officials continue to provide explanations to customers, as per the company’s operational service standards.

Bukopin also mentioned again the KB Kookmin Bank plan regarding the process of capital increase by major shareholders to strengthen Bukopin’s fundamentals. “The process is currently in a final study by regulators, both in Indonesia and in South Korea,” he explained.

In addition, Bukopin also emphasized that he was seeking various strategic alternatives to strengthen conditions, especially in overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic. Among other things, assistance by state banks in the form technical assistance (TA), expansion money market line interbank, promotional program for customer fund deposits with a choice of a certain period, and so on.
