The American company Garmin was attacked by hackers last Thursday. Since then, the services of manufacturers of civilian GPS receivers – especially smart watches – have been limited. According to the diary Guardian Garmin’s problems are due to Evil Corp., which demanded 10 million dollars for a decryption key to break the attack that the Russian group itself carried out.
The technology company, founded by Gary Burrell and Min Kao (named after the founders’ first names) in Kansas, 31 years ago, opened about half of its functions on Monday, but the main one – Garmin Connect – was still in limited mode on Tuesday.
