The WHO met on Tuesday and Wednesday in Geneva about the outbreak of the virus, which affects tens of thousands of people in China. There, the authorities announced that the number of new infections has fallen for the second day in a row.
“The number of reports of new cases in China has stabilized over the past week,” confirmed WHO chief executive Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. He stressed, however, that great restraint is needed when interpreting such figures. “It can still go in any direction with this outbreak.”
