Israel threatens to attack atomic energy facilities in Iran, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) for the security of nuclear facilities, Ahmad Haghtalab, denounced here Thursday.
The position of the Zionist regime could provoke a review and abandonment of nuclear policies and the considerations declared by Iran in that field, the general warned, quoted by the IRNA press agency.
As he recalled, protocols, international standards and laws and regulations of the International Atomic Energy Agency establish that all countries must refrain from attacking nuclear facilities.
For its part, the Islamic Republic of Iran has always been ready to counter these threats from the beginning, he said.
Faced with the current situation, Haghtalab reported that “the nuclear facilities of the Zionist enemy have been identified and we have at our disposal the necessary information on all targets, and to respond to their possible actions, our fingers are on the trigger of powerful missiles to destroy specific targets.”
If Israel takes action against the nuclear facilities and centers of this Persian nation, “it will definitely face our reaction,” he warned.
Until now, the Iranian nuclear doctrine responded exclusively to the civil use of atomic energy, with important applications in the field of medicine and electricity generation.
