Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant told US President Joe Biden’s national security adviser Jake Sullivan that the war against the Palestinian terrorist group “Hamas” in the Gaza Strip will continue for more than several months, the Israeli Ministry of Defense announced.
Galant said that “Hamas” is a terrorist organization that has been building itself for ten years to fight against Israel. “It’s built an infrastructure underground and above ground, and it’s not easy to destroy. It’s going to take some time — it’s going to be longer than months, but we’re going to win and we’re going to destroy them,” Gallant said.
Gallant also thanked Sullivan for U.S. support for Israel’s campaign in the Gaza Strip, saying, “The United States and Israel have common interests, common values; and we also have common goals in this war.”
