The Variety Streamer of the Year winner in his latest video about Youtube, had expressed his opinion that he should continue playing football after an unfortunate performance in the Sidemen Charity Match. He said,“After the football match (Sidemen Charity Match) I stopped, brother, I don’t play football anymore. When I missed the penalty shootout I looked like a bloody stupid idiot. People making memes and stuff, I got KSI’s mom tweeting, “Hallelujah Speed missed a penalty,” that kind of crap.”
However, later in another livestream, Speed changes his mind. He said “I seriously thought about quitting football but I don’t think that’s the right thing to do. You know, just because I had a bad game, should I just quit football? Just because I had a bad game? I don’t think I should give up. I think there is more to this football.„
He also pointed to Cristiano Ronaldo on his t-shirt and said: “I will not give up. There’s more to it than that. Do you see that guy on my t-shirt? I won’t give up until I’m like him or surpass him. Do you feel what I’m saying? So will it be.”
IShowSpeed was expected to score goals. Especially considering he started as a goalkeeper against KSI. However, since he failed miserably even when given a chance in the penalty shootout, IShowSpeed’s performance did not live up to expectations. Speed had many other memorable moments in the game. For example, fighting KSI after promising to do it online.
