Grenoble Alpes Métropole, which has received several reports in recent weeks, warns the inhabitants of the territory against individuals breaking into private homes by presenting themselves as municipal water agents and asking for the immediate settlement of an invoice or on the pretext of work requiring prior identification. In a press release, the Métropole recalls that “water agents are in no way authorized to collect invoices, cannot be municipal agents (agents acting on the ground as part of the public service of water are either agents of the Metropolis, or agents of the SPL Eaux de Grenoble Alpes), and they have, to be identified, a professional card, official clothing and vehicles ”.
