At a time when the prices of graphics chips are constantly rising and new models do not offer a significant improvement in performance, gamers are increasingly considering buying a used graphics card. One chip worth considering is the RX 5700 XT.

Although the crisis regarding graphics cards has long passed, and there is no shortage of new models from AMD, Nvidia and Intel on the market, their price still leaves much to be desired. That is why many gamers consider buying a used graphics card. And one of the interesting models that can be purchased at a price of up to PLN 1,000 is the RX 5700 XT.

Released in 2019, the RX 5700 XT was originally planned as a 1440p gaming card, where it still offers satisfactory performance. However, taking into account new productions, it is worth aiming at Full HD. The card is equipped with 12GB of VRAM along with a 256-bit memory bus, which should be enough even for games such as Hogwarts Legacy.

However, when you decide to buy the RX 5700 XT card, you will have to accept a few compromises. One of the most important is the lack of support for ray tracing, which only appeared in the RX 6000 series cards. This is important, because in the future there will probably be more games supporting this technology.

Another downside of the card is the significant power consumption. According to information provided by AMD, the system can draw up to 225W. For comparison, the RTX 3060, offering similar performance, consumes only 170W.

The last issue worth discussing is the condition of the card we are planning to buy. Unfortunately, new RX 5700 XTs are currently hard to come by. Therefore, when deciding to buy a used system, it is worth checking the cooling condition and temperature. In addition, you can also check if the card does not have a modified BIOS.
