What do you imagine when you think of luxury food? Some seafood, others juicy steak. However, PrahaIN.cz was informed that the palates of really rich people dive into a completely different dish. Into a plain beet salad.
But in this case, forget about the standard price. Although a kilogram of beets costs around 25-30 crowns, in the case of the mentioned salad you will pay exactly 550 crowns for one kilogram.
The appetizer is prepared by Wine Food The Italians on Strakonická in Prague 5. The editors decided to try the salad. It is excellent. But it was no accident that we would recognize him among thousands. In addition to beets, you will also find red onion, garlic and coriander in the salad. The mix is refreshing and interesting.
The price really matched the information we found in the email. One kilogram cost 550 crowns.
The minimum shelf life is two days.
We took a little over half a kilo and paid 316 crowns.
The last time we were in the store was two years ago, even then it stood out for its extreme prices. Both at the store and at the local restaurant. We can randomly mention the soup for 269 crowns (Zuppa di pesce) or the relatively small Insalata di Cesare with chicken for 299 crowns. Meat-filled tortellini with butter sauce and parmesan also costs 299 crowns, and pea risotto with calamari costs 359 crowns.

The food is definitely fresh and tasty, but the prices will clearly deter the vast majority of Prague residents.
