Who is behind this name is still a mystery. However, this week there were rumors that Tesla CEO and the richest man in the world Elon Musk may have something to do with this.
Is Elon Musk the founder of Bitcoin?
That Elon Musk is the person behind Satoshi Nakamoto was backed up by a former SpaceX intern, who is obviously also a company of Musk. This intern, Sahil Gupta, firmly believes that Musk is the creator of the Bitcoin network.
While this theory isn’t new, Gupta makes a fascinating comparison of the similarities between Nakamoto and Musk that brought this theory back to life within the crypto community. Gupta shared his findings encountered BeiInCrypto.
“A few years ago I was wondering if Musk might be able to write the Bitcoin source code. Then I realized that he really is. Musk wrote the software for his first companies, Zip2 and X.com, which literally specialized in peer-to-peer payments. The source code of X.com was written in C ++ and has been described as “monolithic”. The same goes for Bitcoin. “
Also, both Nakamoto and Musk used the same terms when writing pieces, for example on an Internet forum. According to Gupta, the similarities are so strong that he strongly suspected it could be the same person.
Elon Musk denies
Gupta says that while there is no direct evidence that Musk is Satoshi, there is a tsunami of circumstantial evidence. He said it is “the rare intersection of geographic location, technical ability, writing style and motivational philosophy”.
Musk himself already in 2017 denied which has something to do with the origin of the Bitcoin network. Whether Gupta is on the right track here is obviously also debatable. However, the theory appears to be that Elon Musk is the person behind the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto it is being reborn within the crypto community.
