Do we have to choose a treating doctor?
No, nothing obliges you to do so… But it is in your interest to do so, because you will be much better reimbursed. Let’s take a classic consultation with a general practitioner under agreement in sector 1 at the 25-year rate: if it is your declared attending physician, health insurance will reimburse you 70% of the consultation rate, less 1 euro for fixed contribution, i.e. 16.50 euros.
