Shea Couleé, known from the VH1 TV show, has landed an acting contract.
Shea Couleé stars in a superhero series. The star of RuPaul’s Drag Race, winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars and finalist in RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars All Winners, has joined the Marvel Studios TV series «Ironheart» attached in an unspecified role.
“Ironheart”, scheduled to air on Disney+ in the fall of 2023, features Dominique Thorne (“If Beale Street Could Talk” ►, «Judas and the Black Messiah») starring as engineering genius Riri Williams, who develops a super suit in the comics that resembles Tony Stark’s Iron Man. The series will star Anthony Ramos (In the Heights), Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story), Lyric Ross (This Is Us) and Manny Montana (Good Girls). Thorne’s character will be introduced in the Marvel film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever this fall.
Chinaka Hodge (Amazing Stories, Snowpiercer) is the lead writer on Ironheart, while Sam Bailey (Dear White People) and Angela Barnes (Blindspotting) are co-directors. Proximity – the production company co-founded by “Black Panther” filmmaker Ryan Coogler – is producing in partnership with Marvel Studios.
