President of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics (VFKhG) Irina Viner responded to the criteria published by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) for the admission of Russians to international competitions.

On Friday, FIG published criteria for the admission of Russian athletes to international tournaments in a neutral status. The release notes that athletes should not have connections with the Russian army or law enforcement agencies, and should not support the SVO

“We are not slaves, we are not slaves,” Wiener told Match TV.

On July 19, the FIG Executive Committee decided to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in international competitions in a neutral status from January 1, 2024.

At the end of March, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced recommendations for the admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes to international competitions. Recommendations include individual admission, neutral status, a ban on participation in team sports, and a ban on the participation of athletes associated with security forces or who have expressed support for the SVO.
