Iran’s armed forces are prepared to give a stormy and united response to any form of external aggression, the Commander in Chief of the Army of this Persian nation, Abdolrahim Mousavi, warned on Monday.

Through a statement on the occasion of the National Army Day, which is celebrated this Monday, the head of that armed body, Major General Mousavi, also highlighted the defensive and deterrent power of the local forces, which last Saturday launched dozens of missiles and drones against the territory of Tel Aviv.

The massive attack, according to the Tehran authorities, was carried out in response to Israel’s launch of missiles against its consulate in Damascus, Syria, which in addition to the destruction of the building, caused the death of seven Iranian soldiers and several civilians from that Arab State. .

According to the Commander, the military operation was a decisive response to the blatant aggression of the Zionist enemy and brought joy to the oppressed nations, especially the resilient Palestinian people of Gaza.

For his part, a member of the Iranian parliament, Esmaeil Kowsari, told the Irna News Agency that despite the multi-layered defense of the Israeli regime, backed by US defense systems, most of the missiles reached their targets. .

After emphasizing Tehran’s deterrence power against enemy forces, the assemblyman assessed that the important attack with missiles and manned aircraft will definitively influence the situation in this region.

In the previous hours, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Nasser Kanaani, expressed that his country advocates reducing tensions in the area and that the action against Tel Aviv was an act of self-defense and retaliation against the aggressions of that State.

Such a position coincides with the calls of the United Nations and the governments of African countries, such as South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria and Somalia, which agree that the rise of hostilities in the Middle East threatens not only regional stability, but also peace and security on a global scale.
