Iran has issued an arrest warrant for the president of the United States, Donald Trump, and 35 others for the death of General Qassem Soleimani, Tehran prosecutor Ali Alqasimehr said, according to the British “The Guardian”.
Ali Alqasimehr explained that “the warrants were issued on charges of murder and terrorist action” and added that “Iran asked Interpol to issue a” red alert “to Trump and the other individuals accused by the Islamic Republic of participating in the murder by Qassem Soleimani.
The leader of the Revolutionary Guard’s Quds Force, Qassem Soleimani, died in an attack, carried out by the United States in Iraq on January 3. Washington had accused the general of orchestrating militia attacks on US forces in the Iraqi region.
The Tehran prosecutor further assured that Iran “will continue to investigate the matter after the end of Donald Trump’s presidential term”.
