After doing research on many forums and after having tested all possible manipulations (hard reboot, factory config etc.), I still cannot find answers to my problem, that’s why I turned to the MacGeneration community.
3 months ago, the front and rear cameras of my iphone X gave up the ghost.
Photo taken in the afternoon, 1 hour later I open the photo application (black screen, Face iD problem).
With third party photo applications (snapchat, messenger) always the same problem.
The next day I called an apple store which made me a diagnosis by telling me that the cameras are out of order, cost of the operation 500 € because my iphone is no longer under warranty.
I specify that the iPhone has not suffered any fall, has not taken on water, always protect with a shell.
Not wanting to spend 500 € because of a technical problem which is not due to improper handling on my part, I decide to repair it myself as I had done with my previous iPhones.
I order the two cameras, replace the two defective ones, all the cables are connected and …. the problem is still present.
Black screen when opening the photo app, Face iD problem etc.
So I don’t know what to do anymore and I would like to avoid the ‘buy a new iphone’ option when it still does the job very well.
