Even with all its plans, Apple have problems with sales of the iPhone 14 Plus. This model was part of the renewal of its line, in particular to replace the end of the mini model that the brand ended up not renewing this year.
With performance below expectations, it is time for the brand to prepare the future and its strategy for 2023. From what is anticipated, Apple will prepare to reduce the prices of the next iPhone and thus recover part of the market that it ended up losing.
iPhone 14 Plus sales could change prices
There is no official information yet, but there are those who suggest that Apple will have to review its price plan for the iPhone that it will launch in 2023. The Plus model in particular should see the value reduced, in order to become more attractive than the other proposals of the line.
Apple wants to widen the gap between the iPhone Plus and Pro, so the extras that separate these models are more realistic and narrower. With this price difference, users may end up getting a more realistic view of the Plus model, which is currently not the case.
As we can see today, the iPhone 14 Plus has a price of €1189only 160€ less than the iPhone 14 Pro, which costs €1349. This difference is unattractive compared to what the latter offers, such as the A16 SoC, the ProMotion screen with Dynamic Island, the telephoto lens and the stainless steel design.
Apple is changing its plans, even on the Pro
According to what is advanced from the well-known Yyeux1122, the price cut could be 50 or 100 dollars (46 or 93 euros). This reduction should not be limited to the Plus model, but could also be extended to the basic model, to make it more attractive.
It is not yet known whether Apple should also change the prices of the Pro models, even if the brand is betting on this line as the most advanced and with the most capacity. These 2 models (Pro and Pro Max) have been the choice of most consumers, as seen in the sales, positive for the top models and negative for the more basic ones.
It's still too early to know if Apple will actually make this price change on upcoming iPhone models. The leaker, the well-known Yyeux1122, has an established reputation for access to inside information and has been right about many of his predictions in the past.
