The screens of the 2020 iPhones almost all come in new formats. And with a new format also comes a new screen resolution. That is, if we like the analyst Ross Young to believe. In his latest report, he shares details about the resolution of the iPhone 12 series that were previously unknown. So the iPhone 12 the highest resolution ever for an iPhone.
“IPhone 12 resolutions leaked”
The current iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max have a resolution of 2436 x 1125 and 2688 x 1242 respectively, both with a pixel density of 458. The iPhone 12 (Max) and the iPhone 12 Pro go over this. The 5.4-inch iPhone 12 gets a resolution of 475 pixels per inch, while the two larger 6.1-inch iPhones have to make do with 460 pixels per inch. The iPhone 12 Pro Max, the largest of the bunch, gets a pixel density of 458 at 6.7 inches. So that’s the same as the current one iPhone 11 Pro.
The information comes from an analyst specializing in smartphone screens. He also thinks that all OLEDdisplays are made by Samsung, with the exception of the larger 6.1-inch iPhone 12. That screen would be made by BOE / LG Display. Moreover, would Apple on some models want to use Samsung’s Y-OCTA technology, where the touch sensors are incorporated in the display itself. Others details of the iPhone 12 series, such as storage, had already leaked.
