This family outing ended “magically”. This is thanks to both Disney and Apple. Disney World returned a fully functional iPhone to a family from Montana after lying on the bottom of the Seven Seas lagoon for weeks.

Disney World is returning a working iPhone to family after spending weeks on the bottom of the Seven Seas lagoon

In early October, the Troyer family went on a week-long trip to Disney World to fulfill their daughter Sophie’s dream. They enjoyed the Florida sun and had a lot of fun with the Disney characters and the various attractions.

The last evening, however, clouded the vacation recovery. After a Mickey Mouse Halloween party at the Magic Kingdom, the family waited for a boat to leave the park. Meanwhile, Lisa Troyer’s brand new iPhone 11 fell out of her pocket and landed right in the Seven Seas lagoon. It is a small body of water off the Magic Kingdom. The iPhone sank to the bottom of the lake and was gone.

“I was upset to have lost my phone and the photos I took of Disney’s Halloween party that night. The party was the main attraction of our trip, ”said Lisa. “Our six-year-old daughter was particularly sad because photos of her and Jack Skellington seemed to be gone forever.”

The following day, the family left their contact information for the lost iPhone 11. Disney World indicated that the park employed divers who occasionally scanned the bottom of the lake for lost items. The family returned home and lived on as usual.

Around two months later, a call came from Disney Wort. The iPhone 11 was found on the bottom of the lagoon and mailed to the rightful owner. The device was fully functional and the photos of the Halloween party were still available. Lisa was impressed with the water resistance of the iPhone 11 and wrote her story to Apple CEO Tim Cook.
