The wood pretreatment slab will be independent from other site activities (water treatment plant, composting slab), although some structures will logically be shared.
The two crushing-screening units will never work at the same time; one is intended for type A wood (untreated and unpainted wood), the other for type B wood (lightly treated and non-hazardous wood). Note that type B wood should ultimately be recycled in the co-incineration sector in cement factories (and not for biomass boilers).
Two pavilions will be built (maximum height: 10 m). The Technical Officers and Delegates acknowledge that the site “it has many advantages, in particular its fairly large distance from the habitat and its easy accessibility by road”. Only one reaction was recorded during the public inquiry; it came from a business and had a cheaper motive.
