IOS / iPadOS 14.2 officially available

Apple released iOS / iPadOS 14 updates. These have been marked as build 18B92. We recommend that you make a backup before installing the update.

The update to iOS / iPadOS 14.2 can be downloaded and installed directly from the device. To do this, go to Phone / Tablet Settings, General and Updates. At the end you have to press Download and install. The second way is to connect the device to your computer, launch Finder, choose your iPhone / iPad from the list, then click General, select Check for Updates and accept.

This update also includes bug fixes that could cause the following issues:

  • showing apps in the Dock in the wrong order on the Home screen.
  • black screen after starting the Camera application;
  • Avoid keystrokes on the lock screen when trying to enter a code;
  • set reminders to a date or time in the past by default;
  • empty widget of the Photos application;
  • displaying the maximum temperature in degrees Celsius in the Weather application widget, despite setting the unit as degrees Fahrenheit;
  • incorrect precipitation end time in the precipitation graph in the next hour (in the Weather app);
  • interrupting voice memo recording by incoming calls;
  • black screen while playing Netflix video;
  • Apple Watch app quits unexpectedly after opening it;
  • no synchronization of GPS data of training routes and health data between Apple Watch and iPhone for some users;
  • incorrectly labeling audio content as “Playing” on CarPlay desktop;
  • no wireless charging of devices.
