iOS Bug Causes Users to be Repeatedly Prompted to Sign into Apple ID

If you’re using an iPhone, you may have received a strange notification in the past few days asking you to sign in to your Apple ID again. It is very likely that this notification will reappear after some time, and it has been on recurring for a few days. In fact, this error has affected many users since this weekend. Fortunately, there is a simple solution to get rid of it.

It is clear that Apple has been having a lot of problems with its servers lately. A few days ago, iPhone users were exposed to an annoying bug that made the Weather app crash. Today, another kind of problem, even more annoying, is being talked about on Reddit and social networks.

According to multiple testimonies, a notification required the user to sign back into their Apple ID account, for no apparent reason. Many then thought of a hack or phishing attempt and therefore refused to enter their password. On the other hand, others have tried to experiment. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough. Even after typing in the password, the notification returns to your iPhone.

An iOS bug creates panic among users

While most affected users show a notification on their iPhones, other Apple devices appear to be affected as well. On Reddit, someone explained that they noticed the issue on “two different devices/Apple IDs within ten minutes. And in Down Detector, we’re already seeing an increase in Apple TV reports.

However, Apple’s website dedicated to error reports does not indicate that there is an Apple ID problem in progress. So it is possible that you have not come across this error at all. If not, there appears to be a solution. Always on Reddit, one user pointed out that as soon as he restarted his iPhone, the notification stopped appearing.
