iOS 13 is installed on 92% of iPhones out in the course of the last four years

While Apple prepares to unveil its version of the next-generation of iOS, iOS 14, new installation numbers for iOS show that iOS 13, the current update is installed on 92% of all the iPhones introduced during the last four years.

Seven percent of iPhones marketed during the past four years use iOS 12, and two percent are running an earlier version of iOS.

In regards to all iPhones, including those that have been launched more than four years, 81% of the devices have installed iOS 13. 13% use iOS 12, and 6% use an earlier version of iOS.

As for the iPad, 93% of all the iPads introduced in the past four years use iPadOS, while 5% are running iOS 12 and only 1% are running an earlier version of iOS.

When we account for all iPad always used, 73% are running iPadOS, 16% are running iOS 12 and 11% are running an earlier version of iOS.

Apple has no published installation numbers for iOS updated since January, and over the last few months, many people are passed to the operating system iOS 13.

At the end of January, iOS 13 was installed on 77 percent of iPhones marketed during the past four years, and 79% of the iPads sold in the last four years.

Apple will introduce iOS 14 Monday, June 22, during his keynote speech on the WWDC, the update to be released in the fall alongside new iPhones. While the work is resumed on iOS 14, Apple will focus less on iOS 13, in order to add features and fixes to the new update.
