The requirements to access the new HSBC Green Mortgage are basically new homes that must have Leed (Gold & Platinum) or Edge (Advance & Zero Carbon) environmental certificates.

The manager specified that housing is what generates 37% of carbon emissions and consumes 36% of the energy produced, which is why it seeks to encourage sustainability in the industry also with the use of sustainable materials and promoting the construction of this modality on the part of the developers, whom he recognized, it would help them to have financing that promotes sustainable construction.
