Balenciaga officially launches Balenciaga Skiwear’s new ski series, covering ski clothing, accessories and ski equipment, as well as ski accessories such as single boards, double boards, gloves, ski poles, helmets and goggles.
The new series of products is the first winter sports series launched in the brand’s history. It combines innovative materials and high-tech performance. The design can not only improve visual clarity during skiing, but also has thermal insulation performance and aerodynamic properties. This provides multi-faceted protection.
The parka and cargo pants are made from film-bonded technical ripstop fabric and feature an integrated snow layer, an excellent breathability system, an emergency battery survival bag and a dedicated ski pass storage pocket. Jackets and accessories are treated with a water-repellent finish to keep you warm and dry. Alaska snow boots and 3XL ski shoes, the crampons with tines are detachable to meet the needs of skiing. Performance ready-to-wear pieces like blue stretch waterproof jeans with fleece lining bring a casual feel to the trails or après-ski gatherings.
The Balenciaga Skiwear collection will be displayed in pop-up boutiques and window installations that recreate ski resort scenes, allowing customers to feel as if they are actually there. The walls, decorated with the iconic Balenciaga sports logo, are modeled on the size and material of the protective padding found around ski slopes. Walls, floors, shelves and partitions are decorated with colorful ski-like objects printed with Balenciaga’s sporty graphics specially created for the occasion.
