Based on the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia number HK.01.07/MENKES/1462/2023 regarding the provision of Japanese Ecephalitis vaccine in the provinces/cities of the Province and Districts of West Kalimantan/Towns of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in 2023-2024 , it is said that the Japanese Encephalitis vaccine will be introduced in all Governments / Cities of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province starting in 2024.

Japanese encephalitis (JE) is one of the main causes of brain inflammation due to a viral infection (viral encephalitis) worldwide and is a major public health problem in Asia, including Indonesia. Additional JE mass vaccination implementation will be carried out for two full months in September-October 2024 with a coverage target of at least 95%. Then the implementation of JE vaccine was introduced after the completion of mass vaccination aimed at children aged 10 months and was integrated with other routine vaccination programs.

One of the things that makes a program successful is how the program can be communicated well in the community. To support the successful implementation of the JE vaccine, strong communication and promotion and mass media delivery in the community must be strengthened, both print and electronic media. One of the efforts made is to increase the capacity of officials who carry out promotion efforts for the implementation of JE vaccination in health service facilities (Puskesmas, District / City Health Offices, Regional Health Offices).

Strengthening communication plays an important role in increasing the success rate of the Japanese Encephalitis (JE) vaccination program. Effective communication between health service providers, the community, and the government can help educate the public about the importance of vaccination, overcome any concerns or doubts they may have, and build confidence. in the vaccination program. Clear and easy-to-understand information about the benefits of the JE vaccine, its administration methods, and potential risks or side effects can help increase participation rates and vaccine coverage. In addition, through effective communication, a better understanding of the need for vaccination can be raised in communities vulnerable to this disease, thus helping efforts to effectively prevent and control the spread of encephalitis. Japanese.

As an effort to contribute to increasing capacity, especially the capacity to promote health in the community, especially in the field of Digital Literacy, especially in the health sector and strengthening the achievements of the JE (Japanese Encephalitis) vaccine, the Public Health Portal ( Portkesmas). Siberkreasi partner with the support of the Ministry of Communications and Informatics (Kominfo) and the National Cybercreation Digital Literacy Movement as well as several related stakeholders are expected to organize Capacity Building Interpersonal Communication (KAP) and Health Digital Literacy together with all health promotion, behavioral science, and environmental health and immunization workers in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.

The activity was carried out on 30 April 2024 at the DIY Health Training Center with 175 participants consisting of midwives, all functional health professions, environmental sanitation, nurses, health epidemiology, TPKIP at each level and Widyaiswara.

The activity was opened by the Head of DIY Health Service (Mrs. Drg. Pembajun Setyaningastutie, Mkes) followed by the delivery of materials related to KAP (Interpersonal Communication), Techniques to build Loyalty, Listening and Speaking Techniques , Models of Individuals Who Are Vulnerable to Hoaxes and Hoax Verification, Key Commitment Techniques and Game Resources. The delivery of material by the Public Health Portal was packaged in a fun way and used games so that the audience was very enthusiastic about participating in the workshop until the end.

The hope is that after participating in this activity, workshop participants as a health services director can increase their abilities in terms of digital literacy on JE vaccination, especially in terms of handling hoaxes in the community and being able to provide information related to the implementation of JE vaccination to workers/community using good KAP techniques.
