Intergenerational Research on Gender and Dissent: Send Love [Ensayo escénico corporal] Opens at Abraham Oceransky El Galeon Theater

Created from intergenerational and cross-generational research around the body, gender and dissent, Send Love [Ensayo escénico corporal]the season starts from Thursday to Sunday, until June 9 in the Abraham Oceransky El Galeon Theater of the Forest Cultural Centre.

Written with participation from Ana Beatriz, Dante Ureta, Florián Philippe-Beauchamp, Gustavo Gallegos, Índigo Valenzuela, Luis Mata, Narciso, Erin La Monstruosity and Laura Uribeunder the direction and dramaturgy of Uribe, seeks to interrogate binary systems of representation, making visible personal and collective experiences, acts of resilience and (re)existence in intergenerational and transgenerational intersections of gender-based dissonance.

Regarding the creation of the montage, the stage director says: “The aim, based on this level, is to return the research to the body, to the intimate experience of those of us who live in discord to interrogate how gendered violence has affected our bodies.”

Add: “It is a testament to love and suffering, seeking new ways to represent ourselves and opening the platform to people who have found refuges to celebrate happiness, joy and rebirth.“.

For his part, Florián Philippe-Beauchamp said: “How many times have you seen a play that focuses on trans stories? I never was. I think that’s the most important thing about Cuir Love. Trans people build places to live comfortably, but society still doesn’t know about our stories. Send Love “It’s an educational proposition to share some of the beautiful and complex trans experiences. “
