The Champions League dream is over, but in Serie A Internazionale is heading towards the title with seven league boots.
The club seemed to win effortlessly against Napoli on Sunday evening, but in the final phase Inter still gave away the victory: 1-1.
Close pursuers AC Milan and Juventus also played difficult matches. Juventus did not get further than 0-0 against Genoa. Milan did win, 3-1 against Hellas Verona, and has a firm grip on second place.
Inter’s lead over city rivals Milan is no less than 14 points.
NOSDe stand in Serie A
Not only Inter, but also Napoli hoped to wash away the hangover from the midweek elimination in the billion-dollar ball. Napoli lost 3-1 to Barcelona on Tuesday, and a day later Inter bowed to Atlético Madrid on penalties.

Juan Jesus cannot believe his eyes that he brought Napoli next to Inter in the final phase.
Even after the break, Napoli – which kept star player Victor Osimhen on the bench – made little impression, but ten minutes before the end it was 1-1 after a striking header from Juan Jesus.
The defender was lost sight of by substitute Dumfries during a corner kick and was able to head in completely freely.

The match between Atalanta Bergamo and Fiorentina – two teams that still have a chance of qualifying for the Champions League – was postponed. Joe Barone, Fiorentina’s general manager, was rushed to hospital ahead of the match.
There are fears of a heart attack, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport. The 57-year-old American is in intensive care, his condition is said to be worrying but stable.
